Jack Siegel comments on local campaign finance rules in Globe and Mail
In an article in the May 19, 2008 issue of
The Globe and Mail entitled "
Province to Study its Rules on Local Campaign Reports", Blaney McMurtry lawyer
Jack Siegel said that local candidates should be required to appoint a financial agent to ensure compliance, the same as candidates running provincially or federally are required to do. Mr. Siegel, who focuses a large part of his practice on campaign finance law, also commented that the Province should administer local elections or appoint a provincial compliance commissioner.
