Profile
Bradley Phillips is a member of Blaneys’ litigation practice with a diverse practice involving commercial and insurance litigation. Brad is also a member of the Labour & Employment group.
In his commercial litigation practice, Brad has been involved in a broad range of commercial landlord and tenant litigation, including appearances before the Ontario Municipal Board, as well as other general commercial litigation.
On the insurance side, Brad’s practice includes involvement in a wide range of professional negligence claims, product liability claims, fire loss claims, police liability claims and general property damage and personal injury litigation. His cases have involved defending lawyers, insurance agents, financial advisors, police officers and mutual fund dealers.
Recent cases range from successfully representing a group of neighbours before the OMB opposing the construction of additional apartment units in their neighbourhood to defending a lawyer arising from a failed share purchase transaction.
Brad has appeared before all levels of court in Ontario, including acting as lead counsel at trials, and on appeals before the Ontario Court of Appeal.
Outside the office, Brad is an avid sports enthusiast, although most of his recreation time is spent enjoying time with his young family.
