After studying Commerce and Economics at the University of Toronto Rotman School of Business, Fabia obtained her J.D. in 2007 from the University of Toronto Faculty of Law.
While at law school, Fabia co-chaired a national conference in public interest law (SPINLAW), and was part of the Executive Committee responsible for coordinating the Canadian International Law Students' Conference. She also served as a research assistant for the Women's Human Rights Resource, and was awarded the Nancy Park Book Prize for achievement in International Women's Rights course work. During her summers, Fabia undertook an internship in the Philippines researching children's rights issues, and interned in Madrid with a women's rights advocacy organization.
