Jason obtained his LL.B. at Osgoode Hall Law School where he was the recipient of the Charles Woodrow Scholarship Award for academic excellence during his second year. He received his Honours Bachelor of International Business from Carleton University, during which he spent one year studying at the Universidad Antonio de Nebrija in Madrid Spain.

Jason was also heavily involved in Osgoode’s competitive mooting program, participating in the Davies Ward Phillips & Vineberg Corporate/Securities Moot and in the Canadian National Division Qualifying Tournament of the 2006 Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition, where his team received the Ronald St. John MacDonald Award for First Place Memorials and an award for Best Respondent Memorial.

Jason has assisted senior counsel working with complex cross border insurance and reinsurance coverage matters. He has assisted with various coverage matters in relation to commercial general liability policies, error and omission policies, facultative reinsurance agreements, reinsurance treaties, property insurance policies and private international law. He is increasingly asked to provide coverage representation in respect of various personal lines and commercial coverage claims.

Jason co-authored the Canada Chapter in the Defense Research Institute's Insurance Bad Faith: A Compendium of State Law (2006).
