Jeffery L. Freelan's busy real property law practice is a result of more than three decades of experience that includes working on behalf of developers and major institutional lenders.
"My practice is real estate," he says. "It involves commercial acquisition, development and financing work."
His work includes counseling and assisting developers regarding the subdivision, sale and financing of residential and commercial real property. He also represents major institutional lenders regarding construction, acquisition and permanent financing of properties.
Jeff has advised on many major residential, commercial and industrial condominium development projects in various municipalities in Ontario. He also assists on the acquisition, financing and development of nursing home and retirement home projects across Ontario.
Jeff is also involved in acquisitions, long-term operating leases and financings on behalf of a real estate investment trust (REIT). Further, his expertise includes structuring condominium and retirement home development projects, including joint ventures.
Jeff has lectured for the Law Society of Upper Canada's Continuing Legal Education course on condominium practice in Ontario, York University's Continuing Education course on real estate law and to the Real Estate Institute of Canada.
