Larry Reimer is a partner in Blaney McMurtry LLP and chair of the firm’s Insurance Litigation Group. He practices a variety of litigation with emphasis on insurance defence matters and commercial disputes.
Larry has substantial trial experience including spending the year of 2004 before Ontario’s Superior Court of Justice on a complicated commercial matter. He has successfully tried a significant range of cases including those relating to civil conspiracy, breach of contract, police conduct, products liability, occupiers’ liability, personal injury, real estate, governmental liability and the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms.
Larry’s practice further involves claims relating to environmental contamination, industrial accidents and fire loss.
His clientele includes insurers, governmental bodies, police forces and corporations, including construction firms.
Larry has appeared before all levels of Ontario courts, including the Ontario Superior Court of Justice, Divisional Court and the Ontario Court of Appeal. He has also appeared before the Federal Court of Appeal, and has extensive experience before mediators and in dealing with administrative tribunals.
