Mona Taylor’s practice includes the areas of family wealth planning, charitable organizations and not-for-profit organizations. She also deals with retirement planning issues and commodity taxes, including the Goods and Services Tax and Retail Sales Tax.
Mona has had the pleasure of assisting many worthy groups secure charitable registration. Some examples are Engineers Without Borders (Canada) Organization/Ingenieurs Sans Frontiers (Canada) Organisation, Peel and Halton Acquired Brain Injury Services, Kolel: The Adult Centre for Liberal Jewish Learning, Union of American Hebrew Congregations Camp George. Mona has also asisted an organization whose core object is to fund breast cancer research, an organization that operates medical healthcare services and an organization that features an annual jazz festival.
Besides creating and organizing the actual non-share capital organizations, Mona secures charitable registration with the Canada Revenue Agency and deals with the Public Guardian and Trustee in connection with ongoing issues.
