Profile
Shawn Wolfson is a member of Blaneys' Real Estate/ Conveyancing practice.
A commerce and business administration graduate, Shawn's practice is focussed on commercial acquisitions and lending, in addition to some mortgage enforcement work for financial institutions.
"I act mostly for large developers, retailers and institutional lenders," says Shawn. "I develop and draft acquisition and loan documents and security agreements and review title searches and off-title inquiries. I particularly enjoy being involved in document negotiations and dealing with the vendor's or mortgagor's counsel."
Blaneys has a significant real estate practice and Shawn has been involved in a variety of transactions. "One of the most interesting was a deal in the Toronto area involving the swap of a suburban property for a downtown property. I drafted and reviewed the documents relating to the properties and was involved in the negotiation of their final form."
A native of Montreal and a graduate of McGill University's combined Law/MBA program, Shawn is proficient in French and is often called upon to bridge the language barrier between parties.
