Thomasina Dumonceau is a member of Blaney’s litigation team and practises both insurance and commercial litigation. Born and raised in Ottawa, Thomasina articled and practised for two years at an insurance defence and civil litigation boutique before joining Blaneys in March 2004.
Thomasina’s insurance defence practice includes occupier’s liability, automobile, product liability, professional negligence (including claims against lawyers and insurance, real estate and mortgage brokers), disability and life, municipal and environmental claims.
Her commercial litigation practice focuses primarily on commercial leasing, franchise and other contractual disputes.
Thomasina has appeared before the Ontario Superior Court of Justice in courtrooms throughout the province, as well as before the Ontario Court of Appeal.
Outside of the office, Thomasina enjoys spending time gardening, rollerblading and playing softball and beach volleyball.
