Profile

Belinda Rossi is a lawyer in Blaney McMurtry’s Family Law Group who is dedicated to excellence and professionalism. She has a background in advocacy, business and corporate law.

Belinda has extensive courtroom experience and has appeared before all levels of the Ontario courts on family law matters, including the Ontario Court of Appeal. Belinda’s trial experience started in her first year of practice. Her trial experience has included all facets of family law matters, including mobility, support, income determination, valuation of property, equalization of net family property, custody, access, mobility and support.

In addition to Belinda's litigation experience, Belinda believes in customizing resolutions that are unique to the lives of her clients and their objectives. Belinda is certified in the practice of Collaborative Family Law and has received training in mediation and advocacy by first rate professionals in the field. Whether in litigation or outside that process, Belinda's practice includes assisting clients with complex income, property, tax, corporate and business issues that arise within the context of family law support claims (spousal and child), property division and preservation, trust claims and disclosure requests.

Belinda has been the recipient of the Granger Award in Family Law, C.C.H. Canadian Limited Prize (Family Law), Genest, Murray Award in Advocacy, and the Cohen Highley Aboriginal Law Scholarship. She has also co-authored family law Continuing Legal Education materials for the Ontario Bar Association and has co-authored labour and employment law articles, published quarterly for OANHSS.

Belinda is a member of the Ontario Bar Association, Halton County Law Association, Peel Law Association, Peel Halton Collaborative Family Law Practice Group, International Academy of Collaborative Professionals and Collaborative Practice Toronto.

Belinda holds a BA (Honours) from York University and an LL.B. from the University of Western Ontario. She was called to the Bar in 2007.
