Dan’s practice is focused on advising and working closely with businesses of various sizes (whether conducted as corporations, partnerships or joint ventures) and their owner/operators. More recently, Dan’s practice has included representing and advising various American public and private companies with respect to establishing and growing their Canadian business operations.

The relationships that Dan has established with his clients have given him the opportunity to work with his clients in the areas of corporate and commercial law, estate planning and administration, and domestic tax. He is frequently called upon to draft or review Share/Asset Purchase and Sales Agreements, Shareholders’ Agreements, Consulting and Employment Agreements, structure tax driven corporate reorganizations and advise on shareholder disputes.

Dan has assisted his various clients with respect to the purchase and sale of a variety of businesses, including in the areas of commercial and industrial manufacturing, fibre optics, professional services and consulting, advertising, employment and staffing services, hospitality and insurance. Most recently, Dan has assisted his clients to acquire multiple Canadian consulting/engineering companies and sell an established telecommunications business. Dan has also negotiated the purchase and sale of a de Havilland DHC-7 Aircraft.

Dan is a member of the Law Society of Upper Canada, the Ontario Bar Association, the Canadian Bar Association and the Osgoode Society. Dan is also an active member of his local community, sitting on the Board of Directors for each of the Richmond Hill Phoenix Baseball Club and the Ontario Sport Legends Hall of Fame.
