Grace Kim is a member of Blaney McMurtry’s Commercial Litigation Group and the Business Reorganization and Insolvency Group.
Grace has diverse experience in litigating corporate/commercial cases with an emphasis on shareholder and partnership disputes, fraud, and injunctive remedies. She also acts on matters involving contractual disputes and vicarious liability for various torts.
Grace's practice includes asset recovery by way of Mareva injunctions, Certificate of Pending Litigation, Anton Piller orders, tracing remedies and preservation orders, court-appointed inspectors and receivers, and claims for fraudulent conveyances and money laundering.
Grace also represents creditors, debtors and court-appointed insolvency professionals in both insolvency and restructuring proceedings governed by the Companies' Creditors Arrangement Act and the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act.
Grace has represented clients before all levels of court in Ontario and various administrative boards and tribunals. She was involved in the implementation of the $4 billion class action settlement, the largest Class Action in Canadian history, involving approximately 90,000 Indian Residential School claims.
While earning her Bachelor of Laws at the University of Western Ontario, Grace worked as a Research Assistant for the United Nations Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean.
Grace is fluent in French and Korean, and functional in Spanish.
