Jessica articled with Blaney McMurtry and upon her Call to the Bar in 2011, returned to the firm to practice in the area of insurance litigation. 

Jessica is gaining experience in many areas of tort litigation matters, including defending occupiers’ liability, personal injury and motor vehicle claims, as well as class actions. Jessica has also assisted in defending provincial and municipal authorities, correctional institutions and the police.  

Prior to law school, Jessica worked at the Woman Abuse Council in Toronto as a “Court Watch” researcher. She has interned twice at the National Center for Law and Economic Justice in New York City where she assisted in the development of nation-wide initiatives in the areas of poverty law, disability rights and the Medicare Act.  Jessica spent a semester at Cardozo Law School in New York City during her final year of law school.
