Julia is a partner at Blaney McMurtry and a member of the firms Insurance Litigation, Class Actions and Environmental practice groups. 

Julia practices primarily in the area of Insurance Defence Litigation. She handles E&O claims on behalf of professionals including financial advisors, insurance agents, brokers and inspectors. In addition, she defends occupier’s liability, product liability and personal injury claims on behalf of her clients. Julia has also defended the Crown, government and correctional institutions. 

As a member of the Class Action Group, Julia has experience working on behalf of plaintiffs and defendants. Recently, she assisted in the successful certification of a large class action lawsuit. 

Julia is also a member of the firm’s Environmental Group, defending clients in a variety of negligence claims, including oil tank leaks. 

Julia’s advocacy experience includes appearing before the Superior Court and Court of Appeal, in addition to attending mediations and hearings on behalf of her clients.
