A partner with Blaney McMurtry LLP’s Insurance Practice Group, Marcus’ practice focuses on opinion, trial and appeal counsel work involving insurance coverage issues in commercial and environmental liability, errors & omissions, financial responsibility and commercial property lines. Frequently consulted for advice and representation in cross-border coverage cases, Marcus also chairs the Canadian Law and Cross-Border issues sub-committee of the Defense Research Institute, Inc.’s Insurance Law Committee.

He co-authors the annually updated Annotated Commercial General Liability Policy, and is the current chair of the Canadian Defence Lawyers association’s Annual Insurance Symposium.

Marcus volunteers his time as a resource to the Insurance Institute as well as to the Black Law Students Association of Canada and the Canadian Association of Black Lawyers.
