Profile

Patrick is a member of the firm’s corporate/commercial law group, practicing in corporate and securities law. He has acted for a broad spectrum of clients including national and multinational corporations and owner-operated businesses in a number of industries with a focus on mining and natural resources, professional services and financial institutions.

Patrick’s corporate practice includes mergers and acquisitions, corporate reorganizations and equity financings. Patrick has experience negotiating and drafting a variety of corporate and commercial agreements, complex acquisition and financing agreements, partnership agreements, shareholders agreements and joint-ventures.

Within his securities practice, Patrick has acted for junior and mid-size issuers, underwriters and investment dealers on a range of transactions including public and private financings, stock exchange listings on the CNSX, the TSXV and the TSX, plans of arrangement and qualifying transactions of capital pool companies.

Patrick has an interest in international trade and emerging markets and is developing a practice involving cross-border transactions.

Before relocating to Toronto, Patrick lived in Asia for three years studying at the National University of Singapore and Tsinghua University in Beijing and working in Singapore and Hong Kong. Patrick is fluent in French and English and has a functional knowledge of Spanish and Mandarin.
