Profile

Sarah is an associate at Blaney McMurtry LLP with a practice that involves both commercial and general civil litigation. Sarah has a broad commercial litigation practice primarily including creditor-debtor disputes and related enforcement measures, construction lien matters and all forms of contractual disputes. Sarah also has been involved in complex environmental litigation, including environmental contamination.

In addition, Sarah is a member of Blaney’s Architectural, Construction, Engineering Services (ACES) Group and the Restructuring and Insolvency Group.

As a member of ACES, Sarah deals with a variety of clients and issues affecting the construction industry, including construction contract disputes and litigation. Sarah typically represents owners, general contractors and sub-contractors in lien claims. As a member of the Restructuring and Insolvency Group, Sarah acts on behalf of receivers, trustees, creditors and debtors. She has also acted for a variety of clients relating to contractual disputes, including leasing and financing companies.

As part of her work relating to environmental matters, Sarah has reviewed and is familiar with a variety of environmental reports and technical information. She also has experience with litigation relating to operations involving pits and quarries.

While earning her Bachelor of Laws at the University of Windsor, Sarah volunteered at Community Legal Aid and was involved with the University of Windsor Mediation Services.
