Andrea’s practice focus is ICT (information and communications technologies). She has appeared as lead counsel before the Supreme Court of Canada, Federal Court, Copyright Board and Trade-marks Opposition Board, and advises on commercialization of intellectual property and technology.
Andrea is recognized as a leading Canadian lawyer by Who’s Who Legal, (Business Lawyers and trade-mark lawyers), WTR 1000 and Chambers Global 2012: Intellectual Property – Litigation as well as Lexpert®, and as an outstanding business law practitioner by the Guide to the World’s Leading Women in Business.
Throughout her career, Rush has been a recipient of awards from McGill University, the Federal Department of Justice (Canada) and the Copyright Society of the USA.
Andrea is a registered Patent and Trade-mark Agent. She was called to the Bar of Ontario in 1985 and to the Bar of Quebec in 1986.
