Ralph Cuervo-Lorens wrote the article "Canadian Energy Law and Policy", which was published in the January 2012 issue of "Corporate International" magazine. Ralph heads the firm's Mexico and Latin America practice group in addition to being a member of both the Class Actions and International Trade and Business practice groups.
Ralph Cuervo-Lorens was a speaker at Mexico-Canada Mining Task: Canadian Financing and Development for the Mexican Mining Industry, a program co-sponsored by the Export Development Canada, the Toronto Stock Exchange and others, in Mexico City on November 9, 2011. Ralph, who participated remotely, spoke about mechanisms for accessing Canadian capital for mining development.

Ralph Cuervo-Lorens will be a presenter at an orientation seminar for the Peruvian Trade Mission to Toronto on May 9, 2011. Ralph, who heads the firm's Mexico and Latin America Group, will discuss "Key Legal Issues You Can't Afford to Ignore when Selling to the Canadian Market". The seminar is being hosted by the Commission for the Promotion of Peru for Trade and Tourism (Prom Peru) and TFO Canada.

On October 18, 2010 Ralph Cuervo-Lorens was a guest speaker at a seminar presented by the Trade Facilitation Office Canada (TFOC) in Toronto for Trade Commissioners from emerging and developing economy countries. Ralph discussed key legal issues that can't be ignored when selling to the Canadian retail market. Other speakers were Adrienne Warren, Senior Economist, Scotiabank and Ed Kong, Divisional V-P, International Sourcing, Sears Canada.
