Todd obtained his LL.B. from Dalhousie Law School in Halifax, Nova Scotia and his B.A. (Spec. Hons.) in English at York University. While at law school, Todd worked for a term at the Dalhousie Legal Aid Service, the oldest clinical law program in Canada, working directly with clients, managing client files, arguing matters before courts and tribunals, and aiding in various community development and education services undertaken by DLAS. In his last two years of law school, Todd was an upper year mentor to incoming law students and also acted as both an individual and small group tutor for student members of the Indigenous Blacks & Mi’kmaq Initiative, primarily in first year property law. Todd summered at Blaney McMurtry LLP in 2006.
