 Overview

Alva plays a dual role in the firm, acting as both a litigator and Blaney’s Professional Development and Research Partner.

Alva’s litigation practice focuses on personal injury claims with a specialization in handling professional liability matters and defending government bodies.  As the firm’s research lawyer, she prepares memos and arguments on complex and novel legal issues for opinions, motions and trials.

Alva is also responsible for the recruitment, professional development and training of legal professionals at the firm.  One of her greatest sources of satisfaction comes from helping the firm’s students and associates develop and succeed in their legal careers.
