 Overview

Jack Ditkofsky's extensive experience as a primary business law counsel encompasses a busy practice that emphasizes commercial law and succession planning. He has a variety of domestic and foreign clients and has a particular expertise in legal issues pertaining to the pharmaceutical industry.

"I do advise a wide-ranging number of foreign and domestic clients in pharmaceuticals as well as other areas," says Jack. "Commercial law is broad by nature and I have a broad practice."

His work includes licencing, cross-licencing and preparing corporate agreements such as supply, distribution and product acquisition agreements. He also advises on joint ventures, partnership, mergers and corporate reorganizations.

Jack advises clients on succession, estate planning and wealth planning and handles tax-related agreements for corporations and individuals. He assists family law practitioners on commercial and tax matters regarding marriage separation agreements. He also handles wills and estate planning.

His clients also includes members of the medical profession, where he advises on legal issues as well as matters relating to starting and acquiring practices.

Prior to being called to the Bar, Jack attended McGill University, where he graduated as a University Scholar with numerous awards, including the Montreal Bar Association Prize for the highest standing in Civil Law, The I.M.E. Prize for the highest standing in Commercial Law and the S. Tritt, Q.C. Prize for the highest standing in Special Contracts.
