 Overview

Joe has experience in a wide range of civil and commercial disputes. He represents clients in construction and engineering claims, fraud investigations (including conducting examinations under oath), and claims for product liability, professional liability, and municipal liability. Joe has appeared before various levels of court in Ontario, including the Court of Appeal.

Before moving to Canada, Joe practised for several years in the UK. He was counsel for the Metropolitan Police Service where he had conduct of international money laundering investigations and asset forfeiture proceedings, general liability claims, and counter-terror investigations. He also acted for Government bodies in international fraud proceedings. His experience includes advising on draft legislation, and conducting contested hearings at various levels of court. Joe is also a certified workplace mediator.

Joe prides himself on his ability to distill complex issues to create practical solutions for clients. He enjoys working with clients to develop a strategy which meets their objectives in an efficient yet comprehensive manner.
