Laina  Smith
 Overview

Laina's business law practice focuses mainly on corporate and commercial law. Laina advises clients on mergers and acquisitions, financing, corporate reorganizations, commercial leasing and general corporate matters. Laina also negotiates and drafts commercial agreements. Laina has acted for companies, partnerships, not-for-profits and private individuals across a range of industries including renewable energy, insurance, manufacturing, retail, food, healthcare, environmental services, business services and financial services.

Having lived abroad in both Belgium and Vietnam, Laina is an immersive advocate who prides herself on her ability to approach each case from a unique angle. Prior to joining Blaney McMurtry as an associate, Laina was a summer and articling student at the firm.
