Paul Schnier

Paul has represented many public and private companies in all aspects of tax, with emphasis on mergers and acquisitions and public and private financing.  He also advises many family-owned businesses on both corporate and personal tax matters with respect to tax-efficient sales and succession plans.  Paul’s clients describe him as attentive and responsive to their concerns.

To Paul, identifying the problem is only the first step.  Paul devotes his energy to devising creative solutions for the most complex of problems.  In simple terms: Paul minimizes taxation consequences for his clients. His practice encompasses developing and implementing tax efficient corporate structures as well as the completion of domestic and international merger and acquisition transactions in Canada, the US, the UK and Europe.  He has also assisted in the design of debt and equity financings in the Canadian and foreign public markets.
