Profile

Judy is a partner in Blaney's Family Law Group. She has practiced exclusively in the area of family law since her call to the Ontario bar in 2002.  Judy has extensive experience dealing with all aspects of family law, including highly contentious custody and access cases, property and financial disputes. She often deals with complex financial issues where income determination reports and business valuations are required.  Judy regularly appears before all levels of court in Ontario.  

Judy is dedicated to helping her clients achieve their goals in an efficient and cost effective manner.  Judy employs a common sense and creative approach to the resolution of family law disputes.  She understands her client’s needs and ensures that they are met.   Her strong work ethic and commitment to results have enabled her to build a thriving practice.

In addition to her litigation practice, Judy is a certified Collaborative Family Law lawyer, and a member of the Collaborative Practice Toronto and York Collaborative Practice.  Judy successfully uses interest-based negotiation and conflict management in her collaborative practice to ensure that win-win resolutions are reached and that the relationships of the parties are preserved.

Judy obtained her LL.B. from Osgoode Hall Law School in 2000. Prior to law school, she attended the University of Toronto where she obtained a Bachelor of Science graduating with highest distinction.
