Blaneys Partner and veteran election lawyer, Jack Siegel, was quoted in the article "Liberals say election mailout to Jewish community might have led to illegal voting," published in the Ottawa Citizen, May 2, 2012. 

Henry Chang's article, "An Overview of Customs Law in Canada," was republished in Indirect Taxes, a journal published by Bloomberg BNA. 

Status of Class Action:
The litigation of the common issues is proceeding. The parties have exchanged affidavits of documents listing their relevant documents and have provided copies of these documents to the other party.

The examinations for discovery (examinations under oath of the parties' representatives) have been completed and additional documents and information have been provided. A pre-trial conference of the parties with a judge took place on April 5, 2012.

Bruno Soucy’s article “When Former Employees Compete – Protecting Your Confidential Information”, originally published in the March 2012 issue of Blaneys’ Employment Notes, was republished in the March/April issue of Canadian Corporate Counsel (v. 21, no. 5).
