The article discusses the process followed by the Ministry of Health and Long Term Care in determining if a health profession should be regulated under the Regulated Health Professions Act. The article focuses on Dental Assistants and how they were recently denied status as a regulated health profession on the basis that there is already existing and sufficient supervision in place.
