Luka is developing a broad labour and employment practice, with a focus on union organizing campaigns, collective bargaining, grievance arbitration, wrongful dismissal, employment standards and human rights matters. He takes a practical and strategic approach to his work, with a focus on understanding clients’ objectives and providing clear, tailored advice.
A distinct area of Luka’s practice is election and political law. He has experience with judicial recounts and matters involving election finance law and electoral processes at the federal, provincial and municipal levels. Prior to joining Blaney McMurtry, Luka served in the Office of the Prime Minister and, prior to that, as a spokesperson for a Federal Cabinet Minister.
Luka remains actively involved in political campaigns and serves on the Board of the Serbian Lawyers Association. His experience in both the legal and political spheres informs his developing practice at the intersection of labour, employment, and election law.
