 Overview

Possessing over 20 years of experience in the legal industry, 10 of which have been at Blaney McMurtry, Lesley is an experienced member of the Insurance Litigation team. She helps in the defence of claims for insurance companies, public authorities, corporations and institutions, with her areas of specialty being assisting in claims involving institutional sexual abuse and the defence of public authorities. Working closely with the lawyers, Lesley continues to gain valuable expertise on a variety of matters that are important to the clients of the firm. She welcomes the opportunity to deal with files head on and in a productive manner.

Within the firm, Lesley has assisted in the creation of an Experts Database. She is also involved in the Mentorship Program at the firm, mentoring many co-op students enrolled in the Law Clerk Program at various colleges in the city.

With a background that includes working in-house at an insurance company, at a plaintiff personal injury firm as well as many years on the defence insurance side, Lesley can help resolve claims by assessing issues from every angle. Her knowledge, high adaptability, efficiency and communication skills make her an asset, working effectively in partnership with various lawyers to meet clients’ needs.
