We are delighted to announce that Blaney McMurtry partner Mark G. Lichty has been named as the 2016 recipient of the Toronto Lawyers Association’s Honsberger Award, in recognition of his ongoing contributions to the legal community and the community at large.
A gifted speaker, teacher, writer, and advocate in the area of insurance coverage law, Mark is internationally recognized as a leading practitioner in Insurance & Reinsurance, and has published extensively since 1985. Integrity and commitment to the community are very important to Mark, who deeply values his Mennonite heritage and believes that senior lawyers should use their expertise to act as mentors for younger practitioners. As is evident, Mark’s practice has been, and continues to be, a true reflection of his commitment to the TLA’s three pillars: information, education and advocacy.
The Honsberger Award is named in honour of John D. Honsberger, President of the Toronto Lawyers Association in 1967-68 and historian of the association’s first 100 years.
