He has built a strong reputation for high-stakes litigation under the Patented Medicines (Notice of Compliance) Regulations and for developing innovative patent and regulatory strategies, including serving as lead counsel on one of the first successful pharmaceutical summary trials invalidating patent claims on a major blockbuster drug.
Drawing on his background as former in-house counsel at a Canadian generic drug manufacturer, Scott brings a pragmatic, client-focused approach to patent, trademark and copyright matters. In addition to his litigation practice, he is a registered Canadian patent and trademark agent with procurement experience across a broad range of technical industries.
