Blaneys Welcomes New IP Practitioners

Blaney McMurtry is pleased to announce that three new lawyers have joined the firm’s Intellectual Property practice group:

Junyi Chen practices intellectual property law with an emphasis on patent litigation and general IP matters in the areas of pharmaceuticals and other health sciences. She is fluent in Mandarin, and has frequently represented Chinese clients in patent and trademark litigation and in procuring their IP rights in Canada. Junyi was called to the Bar of Ontario in 2005.

Michael Migus’ IP practice focuses on patent law in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries. Prior to joining Blaney McMurtry LLP, Michael acted as the in-house Canadian IP counsel for a multinational pharmaceutical company. Michael was called to the Bar of Ontario in 2007.

Nicholas Wong’s practice combines extensive experience in strategic IP portfolio development and IP litigation with an expertise in business development and negotiating commercial contracts for clients in the areas of pharmaceuticals and other health sciences. Nick was called to the Bar of Ontario in 2003.
