Nicole is an intermediate clerk in Blaney McMurtry’s Business Law practice, possessing experience in various aspects of corporate law. She assists with incorporations, organizations, amalgamations, amendments, continuances, revivals, dissolutions, extra-provincial registrations, limited partnership registrations, business name registrations and annual corporate proceedings. Nicole has been a dedicated member of the Business Law team for the last 5 years, beginning her legal career as a co-op student here at the firm. Always eager to take on new assignments, Nicole often supports the senior law clerks by conducting due diligence reviews on minute books and assisting in the preparation of remedial documentation.
Nicole also performs the back-up duties of the Corporate Search clerk. This involves conducting various corporate searches including: Corporate Profiles, Certificates of Status/Compliance, Bank Act searches, Bankruptcy searches, Execution searches, PPSA searches, Business Name/Partnership searches, etc. She also assists with preparing and registering various PPSA financing statements where applicable in Ontario and across Canada.
