Blaney McMurtry LLP has an immediate opening for a lawyer with 6 to 10 years of relevant experience to join our busy Insurance Litigation Practice Group.
The successful candidate will work on sensitive, high-stakes matters that involve defending claims of sexual abuse, sexual harassment and assault, professional negligence, negligent investigation and defamation for a variety of public authorities, religious and community organizations and private corporations.
The candidate must have strong analytical, drafting and file management skills, be a team player willing to jump into the role that is needed in the circumstances and have the demonstrated ability to assume carriage of multiple files. The candidate must also be able to confidently resolve issues independently both within and out of court proceedings.
A superior work ethic, self-motivation and attention to detail are essential, as are exceptional research, practice management, negotiation and advocacy skills and client service abilities.
