 Overview

Nadim Wakeam has a broad and deep range of corporate, commercial and securities law experience. Clients draw on his expertise in corporate and governance matters, corporate finance, M&A, divestitures, shareholder disputes, regulatory and stock exchange compliance and a wide variety of commercial arrangements. Nadim advises boards, executive teams, entrepreneurs and investment dealers and acts for domestic and foreign clients in various industries, including mining and technology.  Nadim believes in proactive involvement in his client’s affairs and his approach is to plan and structure his client’s affairs to avoid legal disputes and regulatory enforcement problems later.  He is the Chair of the firm's Mining Group.

  • Acting for a listed  public mining company on its merger with another public mining company and associated financing and listing application.

  • Acting for a portfolio manager in the creation of two investment trusts in the areas of structured finance and royalty streaming

  • Acting for a broker/dealer in a $8,000,000 private placement for an Ontario gold mining company

  • Acting on the merger/reverse takeover of a Capital Pool Company for a software technology  company and associated $4,000,000 private placement financing.
